Why Bottles Instead Of Cans?
We chose to use bottles instead of cans for a few reasons:
Using glass bottles allows us to make use of a recipe which is incredibly similar to what you would have in a bar. When canning a liquid, cans come with a variety of recipe limitations which have a large impact on the taste.
Using bottles means it was easier to leave space in the bottle to allow you to shake the bottle and serve. If we were to do this in a can we would need to nitrodose them to help the cans keep their structure (this is why lots of canned cocktails have a fizzy mouth feel).
Our glass bottles have a screw cap meaning you can reseal them - this is ideal when drinking cocktails out and about. Not many cans are resealable which means you have to drink it in one sitting.
